2026 Municipal Election: Candidate Nomination Period Open

Candidate nomination papers are now available. Pick up a package in person at the Brighton Municipal Office, 35 Alice Street, during regular office hours (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), or download it online at www.brighton.ca/elections. Nominations are now open until August 21 at 2:00 p.m.

 

Join a hybrid information session on Thursday, May 14 at 6:00 p.m. at 555 Courthouse Road, Cobourg. This session will cover candidate and third-party advertiser rules, responsibilities, and requirements, and is hosted in partnership with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
