The much- anticipated Applefest, a beloved fall tradition is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The Applefest planning committee promises this year’s festival will be the biggest and best yet.
From humble beginnings in 1974 when local farmers first gathered on Main Street to showcase their harvest, the festival has grown into a community tradition drawing thousands of visitors from across Ontario annually.
The outdoor festival will have events happening from Thursday September 26th to Sunday, September 29th throughout Downtown Brighton, Brighton Public School, and King Edward Park. The festival is free to attend with some activities requiring tickets. Tickets can be purchased directly through the vendors.

A reminder that Applefest is a pet free event. The Municipality of Brighton prohibits all pets in accordance with Prohibit Animals at Annual Applefest Event By-Law (#036-2024). There is a $250 fine for individuals who host or escort an animal to the festival.
