The Municipality of Brighton has one main marina facility located at the intersection of Bay Street East and Baldwin Streets in Gosport. The Bay Street Marina offers three docks and space for twelve boats. These seasonal docking spaces are available for rent through the Parks and Recreation Department. The Marina offers washroom facilities, hydro, and water hook ups. Fill out this form to apply for a seasonal boat docking pass.
Bay Street Municipal Dock is also home to Brighton Marine Rescue.
A second location for overnight docking is Presqu'ile Government Dock located on the south-west side of Brighton Bay near Presqu'ile Park. Amenities are minimal with hydro and a port-a-potty available on the site. The site does accommodate larger boats quite easily as it was the site of a former Canadian Customs Office. See General Fees and Charges Bylaw for costing.
The Municipality of Brighton offers two areas with which to launch a boat. Boat launches are located at our Bay Street Marina Facility as well as our Ontario Street Boat Launch Facility. Launching fees are available on the General Fees and Charges Bylaw and boxes with envelopes are available at both locations. A seasonal boat launching pass is also available at the Municipal Office at 35 Alice Street. There are also transient docks that can be rented for periods of time at the Presqu'ile Government Dock.
