The Municipality of Brighton has a number of parks, facilities and trails for you to enjoy. The Parks and Recreation Department manages the most of these recreation facilities along with its parks, trails, marinas and boat launches, playing surfaces and flower gardens.

The Municipality of Brighton has a number of parks, facilities and trails for you to enjoy. The Parks and Recreation Department manages the most of these recreation facilities along with its parks, trails, marinas and boat launches, playing surfaces and flower gardens.
Brighton is a founding community and part of the 3600 km Great Lakes Waterfront Trail.
Memorial Park |
Located on Main Street, Memorial Park is the popular location for events and activities during the summer months. The park has mature maple trees within its grounds which provide shade and help provide a buffer from the traffic on the street. It has a gazebo where various entertainers and groups perform on Wednesday evenings in July and August as well as on selected Saturdays. It is where the Municipal Cenotaph and Walkway of Valour are located. The park also provides an idea spot to have lunch or just relax with its benches and handicapped -accessible picnic tables located around the park. |
King Edward Park |
The Municipality's main sports park and hub during the fall/winter months is King Edward Park. The 25 acre park is home to the arena, curling club, community centre, tennis courts, skateboard park, ball diamonds, soccer pitches, community splash pad, picnic shelter and Rotary pergola/garden area. The park also has a recycled rubber trail way for walking throughout the park. |
Codrington Park |
This is a large community park within the Hamlet of Codrington, along County Road 30. The park contains a community hall which is managed by the Codrington Community Association board and its group of volunteers. The park also is home of the Codrington Farmers Market which runs seasonally every Sunday from 10am -1pm. Local farmers and vendors come to sell their produce and goods to the public. Entertainment and kids games are held during this time to ensure a good time for all. The park contains ball diamonds, a playground, a bmx track and a 0.75 km walking trail. |
Kinsmen Park |
Kinsmen Park is a one acre parcel of parkland on the east side Cedar Street where the Butler Creek crosses the roadway. The park is a quiet place with which to enjoy the outdoors. As well as park benches, the park has a children's playground with a swing set and climber apparatus. |
Anne Street Park |
Located on the corners of Baldwin and Anne Streets, this one acre piece of parkland is a greenspace area where games and activities can take place. There are two park benches placed in the park where individuals can sit and enjoy the outdoors. |
Cedar Point Lookout |
Located at the south end of Cedar Street, this greenspace has a bench where members of the public can sit and look out at Presquile Bay and the surrounding wildlife. |
Orland Park |
Orland Park is a small piece of parkland in the Hamlet of Orland just off of County Road 30. |
Peace Park |
Located in the back section of Huron Street, Peace Park is a small treed park which has benches as well as children's climbers and swings. |
Presqu'ile Government Dock and Park |
Located at the south-east part of Presqu'ile Provincial Park along Boundary Road, this park was formerly the site of a Canadians Customs office. Now owned by the Municipality, this parcel of land has the customs docking area as well as greenspace for picnics, and new for 2017 a children's playground is scheduled to be constructed. |
Rose Ellery Park |
Rose Ellery Park is located on a piece of land at the corner of Main and Ontario Streets. The park was named after long-time resident and former Councillor Rose Ellery who continues to be involved in beautifying the Municipality. Adopted in part by the Brighton Horticultural Society, the park as irrigated gardens and park benches with which visitors to the park can sit and relax under the shade of trees planted on the site. |
Hilda Montgomery Park in Gosport |
This is a community park which has a small ball diamond, children's playground, picnic shelter and a pickle ball court. Located close to the Bay Street Marina it is a good location for picnics, and community events. |
Walas Street Park |
Walas Street Park is located within the area of Raglan and Walas Streets. It has shaded areas, a children's playground and a couple of picnic tables and benches for use. |
Tobey Trail Link |
The Tobey Trail Link was the first nature trail constructed in the Municipality and is 900 metres long. The Trail follows Butler Creek from Cedar Street to Harbour Street. Constructed using wood chips and is a beautiful nature walk through the woods. |
Presqu'ile Parkway Walking Trail |
The Presquile Parkway Trail Link is a two meter-wide asphalt public walking trail which runs along the Presquile Parkway from the Ontario Street Boat Launch property to the main entrance gates of Presquile Provincial Park. It is a very popular trail for walkers and cyclists alike. |
Stalwood Trail Link |
Trail extends 900 meters from the south side of Monck Street to the west side of Ontario Street. It is a three meter-wide trail made up of gravel and crushed limestone, suitable for both walking, jogging and cycling

Municipality of Brighton Off-Leash Area or "The Bark Park" |
The Municipal Off-Leash Dog Park or "The Bark Park" is managed by the Parks and Recreation Department. The dog park is open seven days a week from dawn to dusk. There is a large dog are and a small dog fenced area. The Park is located at 118-120 County Road #64 as you travel east from rural area. |
Harbour Street Parkette |
Located along the north shore of Brighton Bay on Harbour Street. Harbour Street Parkette is a quiet spot to rest or to eat your lunch or even to take your kids fishing. It offers handicapped-accessible picnic tables and a sitting area with park benches and flower gardens using native species. |
