Our goal is to provide goods and services in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. We strive to provide an inclusive environment where all residents can access and benefit from our facilities, goods, services, employment, information, and transportation.

| On June 20, 2022 Council adopted the Integrated Accessibility Standards Policy which is aimed at identifying and removing barriers for persons with disabilities in Brighton. | ||
| Accessibility Plan | ||

In accordance with Section 4 of Ontario Regulation 191/11 Integrated Accessibility Standards, The Municipality of Brighton has updated its Accessibility Plan for the years covering 2026-2030.
The Municipality of Brighton's 2026 to 2030 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan was reviewed by the Accessibility Advisory Committee and was adopted by Council at their November 13, 2025 meeting.
Guided by the Municipality's 2026 to 2030 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan, Council and staff seek to improve equality of access to opportunities and services within the municipality for all citizens.

Brighton's Accessibility Advisory Committee provide advice to Council on a wide range of municipal processes to help make public services and facilities accessible to everyone. The committee meets a minimum of three times per year and members are appointed by Council. |
| Accessible Transit |
|
Quinte Transit provides specialized transportation for persons with disabilities and seniors in the Municipality of Brighton and the City of Quinte West. The service operates Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with evening, weekend and holiday service available upon request. For more information, contact Quinte Transit at 613-392-9640. |
| Accessibility Compliance |

Organizations required under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 are required to submit compliance reports to the Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility.
The Municipality of Brighton submitted its 2023 Accessibility Compliance Report on November 13, 2023. |
