Tax bills are distributed twice each year. There is an Interim Bill in February and a Final Bill in July. Each of these bills have two installment due dates. Taxes are due on the last weekday of the month in February, April, July and September. .
You can choose to receive your tax bills by email. Please complete the online eBilling Consent Form.

Tax bill reprints and certificate requests |
In accordance with our General Fees and Charges By-law there are fees for tax certificate requests and tax bill reprints. You can fax tax certificate requests to 613-475-3453, mail them to the municipal office, or complete the online property information request form. To receive a reprinted copy of your tax bill by email, please complete the Tax Bill Reprint Request Form.

Mailing address changes |
To make a change or correction to your mailing address, complete our mailing address update form. Changes provided to the Municipality of Brighton cannot be shared with the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC). Property owners can notify MPAC of changes online at mpac.ca under Making Changes and Updates. |
Tax rates |
To determine the amount of taxes levied against a property, the Municipality multiplies the assessed value of a property by the approved tax rate. Taxes are collected on behalf of the County of Northumberland, the School Boards and the Municipality. The 2023 Tax Rate Byaw was adopted by Council on April 17, 2023.
