Voting for the 2026 Municipality of Brighton Municipal Election is NOW OPEN!

Visit our online voting platform to cast your vote here: https://brighton.simplyvoting.com/. 

Enter the PIN on your Voter Information Letter (VIL) and your Date of Birth to access your ballot. VILs were sent to voters in the mail in early October.

The voting period runs form October 19 at 10:00 a.m. to October 26 (Election Day) at 8:00 p.m.

Applications for the Community Grants in Aid Program Open Until October 31, 2026

Do you have a program, event, or project that benefits Brighton residents? The Municipality of Brighton’s Community Grants in Aid Program provides funding to support the important work of local not-for-profit organizations and community groups.

Applications close October 31, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Please note that the application deadline is extended this year to accommodate the 2026 Election period.

Advance internet voting for the 2026 Municipal Election is now open and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Monday, October 26.
Voting in the 2026 Election will take place using internet voting.
Voter Information Letters
Voter Information Letters (VILs) include the website address for the Internet Voting platform, along with your unique PIN needed to access and cast your ballot.
If you have not received your Voter Information Letter, please contact the Clerk’s Department for assistance (613) 475 - 0670 ext. 209.
