Applications for the Community Grants in Aid Program Open Until October 31, 2026
Do you have a program, event, or project that benefits Brighton residents? The Municipality of Brighton’s Community Grants in Aid Program provides funding to support the important work of local not-for-profit organizations and community groups.
Applications close October 31, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Please note that the application deadline is extended this year to accommodate the 2026 Election period.
Advance voting for the 2026 Municipal Election is now open and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Monday, October 26. Learn more.
Advance internet voting for the 2026 Municipal Election is now open and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Monday, October 26.
The Community Events & Civic Awards Steering Committee will meet at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office, 35 Alice Street.
The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office, 35 Alice Street.
Advance voting begins on Monday, October 19 at 10:00 a.m. and continues until Election Day, October 26 at 8:00 p.m.
Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office. Residents can attend in-person or virtually on our YouTube Channel.
The Water Department will be conducting annual hydrant flushing from October 4 and continuing until completion. Flushing will take place both overnight, between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., and during daytime hours.
