Volunteer on our Boards and Committees

The Municipality of Brighton engages its residents who are interested in becoming citizen members of local committees for the purpose of providing advice to Council on matters within the committee's mandate, and boards to administer matters under specific Provincial legislation.

To be eligible to participate as a committee or board member, applicants must be a Municipality of Brighton resident and/or a property owner, and cannot be employed by the municipality or a local board.

Committee members are appointed by Council for a term that corresponds with the term of Council. The Municipality seeks mid-term applications from time to time.
