Applications for the Community Grants in Aid Program Open September 1
Do you have a program, event, or project that benefits Brighton residents? The Municipality of Brighton’s Community Grants in Aid Program provides funding to support the important work of local not-for-profit organizations and community groups.
Applications close October 31 at 4:00 p.m. Please note that the application deadline is extended this year to accommodate the 2026 Election period.
The Municipality of Brighton is preparing for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election, which will take place on October 26. To stay informed, learn how to register to vote, and access information for candidates, visit our Elections webpage.
The Heritage Advisory Committee will meet at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office.
The Accessibility Advisory Committee meeting will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office.
The Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office.
The Community Events & Civic Awards Steering Committee will meet at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office, 35 Alice Street.
Work on Stage 1 of the Harbour Street Reconstruction Project, between Walas Street and Cedar Street, has progressed successfully to the completion of the base asphalt layer.
