A Special Council Meeting has been called for Council to receive a presentation from Baker Tilly KDN LLP regarding the Independent Auditor's Report for the 2024 Financial Statements; and that Council approve the 2024 Audited Financial Statements as presented by Baker Tilly KDN LLP and authorizes the Mayor and CAO to sign the Management Report on behalf of the Municipality.
Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026 in person at the Brighton Municipal Office. Residents can attend in-person or virtually on our YouTube Channel.
In response to the ongoing cold warning issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada, the King Edward Park Arena lobby (75 Elizabeth Street) will be open as a warming centre tomorrow, Saturday, January 24, and Sunday
The Municipality of Brighton encourages resident involvement through a variety of advisory committees and local boards advise to make recommendations to Council. The Municipality is currently seeking individuals who are connected to the community, have strong communication skills and, and have the ability to collaborate amongst a team.
The committee will meet at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office.
Please be advised that the Applefest Steering Committee meeting scheduled for today, Wednesday, January 21, 2026, has been cancelled due to the forecasted winter weather.
Residents are advised that overnight winter snow removal operations are scheduled to begin today, Wednesday, January 21, and on Friday, January 23.
The due date for the water and wastewater bills is Friday, January 30.
The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office.
