Marriage Licences and Civil Ceremonies

If you are being married in a religious or civil ceremony in Ontario, you must obtain a Marriage Licence.

Please note: Marriage Licences are valid for 3 months from the date it is issued. Please only apply for your Marriage Licence if your wedding date is less than 3 months away.

  1. Review the Before Getting married page at ServiceOntario.
  2. Apply for a marriage licence online. You will need to upload copies of the required identification to verify your information. You will be contacted to make an appointment to sign the licence. Both applicants are welcome to attend the appointment at the Municipal Office. If you have any questions, or would like to complete the process offline, please contact the Clerk's Department.
