Clubs and Organizations

The Arts Club supports the local creative community by providing a studio facilities for the development of arts and entertainment projects. The Arts Club also features a Gallery, Theatre and Stage all used to showcase arts productions and for special community events. The Arts Club hosts The Creative Arts Institute training programs in its classroom during the day.

1 Can Para, 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion RCACC is an Army Cadet organization for youth aged 12 to 18.  Corps 100 was formed in 2010 in Brighton.  Aside from participating in fundraising activities, there is no cost to cadets.  By promoting good citizenship and healthy living, skills in leadership, teamwork and self-confidence are gained.  If you are looking for a challenge, fun, adventure and new friends, join us!!  Check out our Facebook page Brighton Army Cadets to see some of the fun things we do.  We meet on Mondays and Thursdays, with a few weekend exercises, September through June.

Our Mission is to Save Lives on the Water. We provide marine rescue services and support to distressed people on the water at no cost to anyone who requires assistance. We are a “First Response Marine Unit”, fully staffed by local volunteers under the direction of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre.

Are you 18 years or older, hold a Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC) and a Radio Operators Card (ROC-M)? Are you are willing to obtain these cards? Do you want to learn to Save Lives on the Water? Trent Hills Martial Arts offers training in Karate and Muay Thai for students of all ages and experience levels, with opportunities for competition in Karate. The Brighton Pickleball Club (BPC) offers organized outdoor play for all levels from early May to the end of October. The BPC is a member of Pickleball Canada and Pickleball Ontario.

Mixed Teams play in seven categories between the ages of 3 to 21. Registration is held in February. Season starts in May.

The PROBUS club of Presqu'ile is a social club for retired and semi-retired individuals interested in making new friends, discovering new interests and most importantly having fun. PROBUS Is a volunteer-lead, non-profit, non-political, non sectarian fellowship organization with more than 4,000 clubs worldwide, some 250 being Canadian clubs.  In addition to our monthly meetings there are social outings you can attend such as wine tours, boat cruises, trivia nights, local theatre, and much more.  There are also special interest groups you can participate in such as book clubs, cards, golf, bowling and so on.

The Brighton & Presqu'ile Railway Association meets year round on Wednesday evenings 7 pm to 9 pm at 58 Prince Edward Street, Brighton, Ontario, K0K 1H0, 2nd floor above the Trinity St Andrews United Church Clothing Depot. Dues are $100 semi annually.

Members are of mixed ages with a passion for railways and/or railway modelling. 

Meeting discussions cover all gauges of model railroads and include ideas about kit building, kit bashing, detailing, scratch building scenery, electrical or track planning are shared. 

The club Free-Mo layout is 220 ft. long and operates as DCC (digital command & control).
