In response to the ongoing heat warning issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada, the Owen Gibb Community Centre (75 Elizabeth Street) is open as a cooling centre for the remainder of this week, July 15 to July 17. Presqu'ile Parkway Walking Trail
The Presqu'ile Parkway Walking Trail link is a two meter-wide asphalt public walking trail which runs along the Presqu'ile Parkway from the Ontario Street Boat Launch property to the main entrance gates of Presqu'ile Provincial Park.
It is a very popular trail for walkers and cyclists alike.
The Stalwood Trail link extends 900 meters from the south side of Monck Street to the west side of Ontario Street.
It is a three meter-wide trail made up of gravel and crushed limestone, suitable for both walking, jogging and cycling.
The Tobey Trail Link was the first nature trail constructed in the Municipality and is 900 meters long.
The Trail follows Butler Creek from Cedar Street to Harbour Street.
Constructed using wood chips and is a beautiful nature walk through the woods.
