Voting for the 2026 Municipality of Brighton Municipal Election is NOW OPEN!
Visit our online voting platform to cast your vote here: https://brighton.simplyvoting.com/.
Enter the PIN on your Voter Information Letter (VIL) and your Date of Birth to access your ballot. VILs were sent to voters in the mail in early October.
The voting period runs form October 19 at 10:00 a.m. to October 26 (Election Day) at 8:00 p.m.

Applications for the Community Grants in Aid Program Open Until October 31, 2026
Do you have a program, event, or project that benefits Brighton residents? The Municipality of Brighton’s Community Grants in Aid Program provides funding to support the important work of local not-for-profit organizations and community groups.
Applications close October 31, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Please note that the application deadline is extended this year to accommodate the 2026 Election period.
Advance voting for the 2026 Municipal Election is now open and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Monday, October 26. Learn more.
The meeting will be held at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Presqu'ile Waddling Arts Center.
Construction will begin on Monday, July 6 on Harbour Street between Walas Street and Cedar Street.
Please note that our offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 1. We look forward to welcoming you on Thursday, July 2, during our regular hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
In response to the ongoing heat warning issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada, the Owen Gibb Community Centre (75 Elizabeth Street) will remain open as a cooling centre tomorrow, Wednesday, July 1, between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
The Rural Advisory Committee will meet at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office.

The Applefest Steering Committee will meet at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office.
Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office. Residents can attend in-person or virtually on our YouTube Channel.
