Construction Notice: Harbour Street Reconstruction - Stage 1 - Walas Street to Cedar Street - July 2026 Update
Construction will begin on Monday, July 6 on Harbour Street between Walas Street and Cedar Street. This project includes new curbs, storm sewers, multi-purpose pathway, asphalt, water service replacements, and sanitary sewer repairs.
Harbour Street will be closed to through traffic between Walas Street and Cedar Street for the duration of Stage 1.
Temporary water service interruptions will occur periodically to complete water service replacements within the Stage 1 construction limits. Most interruptions are expected between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and will typically last 30 minutes or less.
Garbage and recycling collection will continue as scheduled. Please place materials at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your regular collection day.
Trees, shrubs, gardens, and other landscaping within the municipal road allowance may require trimming or removal.
Please use caution around the construction zone and keep children and pets away from work areas and equipment.
