Voting for the 2026 Municipality of Brighton Municipal Election is NOW OPEN!
Visit our online voting platform to cast your vote here: https://brighton.simplyvoting.com/.
Enter the PIN on your Voter Information Letter (VIL) and your Date of Birth to access your ballot. VILs were sent to voters in the mail in early October.
The voting period runs form October 19 at 10:00 a.m. to October 26 (Election Day) at 8:00 p.m.

Applications for the Community Grants in Aid Program Open Until October 31, 2026
Do you have a program, event, or project that benefits Brighton residents? The Municipality of Brighton’s Community Grants in Aid Program provides funding to support the important work of local not-for-profit organizations and community groups.
Applications close October 31, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Please note that the application deadline is extended this year to accommodate the 2026 Election period.
Advance voting for the 2026 Municipal Election is now open and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Monday, October 26. Learn more.
The Community Events & Civic Awards Steering Committee will meet at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office.
The Municipality of Brighton will be installing portable, temporary traffic signals at the intersection of Main Street and Ontario Street on June 16.

Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office. Residents can attend in-person or virtually on our YouTube Channel.
Please be advised that Aranda Way from County Road 30 to Goodfellow Road will be closed to traffic on Thursday, May 28 for a culvert replacement.
Terry Fox Drive will be temporarily closed to traffic from Elizabeth Street to Dundas Street on Thursday, May 28 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 a.m. on Friday, May 29 for the repainting of the Pride Crosswalk.
The Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committeemeeting will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in person at the Brighton Municipal Office.
