Upcoming Road Geotechnical Investigations
Residents are advised that the Municipality of Brighton will be conducting geotechnical investigations on Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 20 at the following locations:
- Baldwin Street – Harbour Street to Bay Street
- Butler Street – Prince Edward Street to Division Street
- Dundas Street – Pinnacle Street to Georgina Street
- Elizabeth Street – Prince Edward Street to Pinnacle Street
- Pinnacle Street South – Elizabeth Street to the southern end
- Division Street – Grimes Street to Butler Street
- Presqu’ile Parkway – Ontario Street to Lakeshore Road
- Hope Street – Singleton Street to Lakeview Heights
The work will include drilling boreholes along each road segment to investigate subsurface conditions.
Drilling activities will occur between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Minor traffic disruptions and temporary lane restrictions are expected during the work. All locations will remain open with temporary localized detours if required. Activities at each location are anticipated to last approximately 2–3 hours.
Noise levels will be elevated during drilling operations, and vibrations may be felt in the surrounding area.
