Municipality of Brighton Seeking Advisory Committee Members
The Municipality of Brighton encourages resident involvement through a variety of advisory committees and local boards advise to make recommendations to Council. The Municipality is currently seeking individuals who are connected to the community, have strong communication skills and, and have the ability to collaborate amongst a team.
To be eligible to participate as a board member, applicants must be:
- a Municipality of Brighton resident, be over the age of 18, and/or a property owner, and cannot be employed by the municipality or a local committee.
Available Advisory Committee Appointments:
Applefest Steering Committee
The Municipality is currently seeking two (2) public members to join the Applefest Steering Committee.
Tasked by Council to plan, organize, and promote the Annual Applefest event with a goal to create a fun, high-quality event that builds community spirit and brings people together.
Heritage Committee
The Municipality is currently seeking one (1) public member to join the Heritage Committee.
The Heritage Advisory Committee provides assistance and recommendations to Council associated with identification, conservation and celebration of Brighton’s cultural heritage.
Sustainability Advisory Committee
The Municipality is currently seeking two (2) public members to join the Sustainability Advisory Committee.
The Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee Brighton is a liaison for the flow of strategic advice and expertise among the community stakeholders regarding the community’s environmental sustainability.
