Applications for the Community Grants in Aid Program Open September 1

Do you have a program, event, or project that benefits Brighton residents? The Municipality of Brighton’s Community Grants in Aid Program provides funding to support the important work of local not-for-profit organizations and community groups.

Applications close October 31 at 4:00 p.m. Please note that the application deadline is extended this year to accommodate the 2026 Election period.

Notice of Road Re-Opening: County Road 64 (Prince Edward Street) - Applefest Weekend

Please be advised that County Road 64 (Prince Edward Street) will reopen by noon on Friday, September 25, in time for Applefest weekend celebrations.
Construction activities may continue throughout the day on Friday, with flagging in place as required. Construction equipment will be cleared from the roadway for the weekend.
Road Reopening Period: September 25 to September 28, 2026
Motorists should reduce their speed and use caution, as the road surface will remain gravel. Please avoid parking on Prince Edward Street, as road edges may be uneven.
County Road 64 (Prince Edward Street) will close again on Monday, September 28, as construction resumes. Detours will be in place during the closure.
