The Development and Capital Infrastructure Department is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction, maintenance, and renewal of the municipality’s essential infrastructure systems. Core Responsibilities

The department leads and manages a wide range of infrastructure projects, including:

  • Roadways – Construction, rehabilitation, and ongoing maintenance of municipal roads to support safe and efficient travel.
  • Watermain Systems – Installation, repair, and upgrades to ensure the delivery of clean and reliable drinking water.
  • Storm and Sanitary Sewers – Development and maintenance of systems that manage wastewater and stormwater to protect public health and the environment.
  • Drainage Projects – Design and implementation of drainage solutions to prevent flooding, manage runoff, and support overall watershed health.

Development Review and Approvals

In addition to infrastructure management, the department plays a key role in guiding community growth by reviewing and approving:
