Deputy Treasurer |
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administrative Services, the Deputy Treasurer will manage the administration of the Municipality’s accounting activities to ensure accounting procedures are delivered in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The Deputy Treasurer is responsible for supervision of the Finance and Administration Assistant and the Part-Time Finance and Administration Assistant and will be responsible for the statutory duties required of the Deputy Treasurer under the Municipal Act, 2001 as amended. Matters of a confidential nature shall be treated with due regard for the best interests of the municipality and its personnel.
Qualifications: The preferred candidate possesses a Degree or 3-year College Diploma in Accounting combined with 3 years’ progressive experience in municipal finance. You offer proven knowledge of general ledgers, sub ledgers, payroll, PSAB 3150, Tangible Capital Assets and fund accounting. Your acquired skills in financial software applications, problem solving and customer service combined with a high degree of integrity and professionalism facilitate your success. A valid Class G Ontario driver’s licence and clean criminal record check are conditions of employment.

Seasonal Public Works Operator |
The Public Works Department is currently accepting applications for a Contract Public Works Operator for the summer-fall season.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Public Works Operations Supervisor, the Operator operates Roads and Construction vehicles and equipment including but not limited to: Heavy Trucks; Snowplow; Loader; Sidewalk Plow and Mowers within the municipal road system, infrastructure, and properties.

Booking Clerk/Administrative Assistant - Part Time |
Reporting to the Director of Parks and Recreation, the Booking Clerk/Administrative Assistant is responsible for scheduling, confirmation, payment, and invoicing of routine facility bookings as well as clerical support and reception to the department. This position will work up to 20 hours per week as directed by the Director.

Damage Prevention Technician |
Reporting to the Manager of Capital Infrastructure, the Damage Prevention Technician is responsible for municipal infrastructure locates and inspections and will also collect and input data into the municipal geographic information system (GIS) and the Ontario One-Call utility locate system, the Asset Management System and process various permits.
